Committee Services

- Clearly communicate the mission, objectives and member benefits to prospects.
- Strive for membership diversity.
- Make IARA truly international.


- Have 100 membership commitments by the end of CAR.
- Enroll at least 20 members from the Americas.
- Expand membership to a minimum of 200 by the end of the year.
- Establish visibility in Europe and Asia.

Long Term Objectives

- Build a membership level that will sustain a full-time staff.
- Establish international chapters.

Committee Services

- Help mobilize industry resources to create industry consensus for important issues and initiatives.
- Create increased visibility for the IARA and its members.
- Use the press as a forum for the IARA to express support for other industry associations and their initiatives.
- Cultivate a good working relationship with the press.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Press and Public Relations Committee is to communicate the goals, vision, accomplishments, initiatives, and position on industry issues of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance via the trade press and consumer publications.


- Increase industry awareness of the IARA.
- Help increase IARA membership in the U.S. and Canada.
- Support other industry associations and their initiatives via the press.

Long Term Objectives

To assist in cultivating a reputation of IARA as one of the more influential organizations in the remarketing industry that has built alliances with other industry associations.
